THOMAS HEFFERON

Thomas Hefferon’s first short film, "The Confession", was selected for official competition at over 40 major international film festivals, including such prestigious festivals as, Tribeca, Palm Springs and Rhode Island, winning awards at a number of them. It also secured a national cinema release across Ireland and was chosen by Tribeca to launch their online VOD platform, where it garnered a massive 225,000 views in under a week.

Thomas’ next film, "The Pool" went on to be selected for more than 20 major international film festivals, picking up another bunch of awards along the way. His latest two films, "The Heist" and "Switch", both had their world premier's at the 2011 Tribeca Film Festival, with “Switch” also personally being chosen by Michael Moore for the 2011 edition of his personal invite only, Traverse City Film Festival.

In September 2009 Thomas had the honour of being nominated in the “Best New Director” category at the Kinsale Shark Awards. His music video “Playing the Game” by JJ Daly, was also nominated in the “Best Solo Male” category at the 2009 Irish Music Video Awards. In July 2010 he was runner up in the Galway Film Fleadh Pitch Award, with his feature film treatment “Monsters” being selected from over a hundred entries.

Having previously worked with brands such as Jameson and Nike, Thomas moved into the world of commercials, joining Russell Curran in late 2011.
