ANTHONY BYRNE

In the early noughties Anthony Byrne directed a number of award winning shorts, including "Meeting Che Guevara and the Man from Maybury Hill". He then went on to shoot his first feature "Short Order", which featured a list of who's who in the acting world including luminaries such as John Hurt, Vanessa Redgrave, Eamma de Caunes, Rade Sherbedgia, Jack Dee, and Paul Kaye.

Joining Russell Curran in 2007 Anthony made a number of commercials before directing episodes of Single-Handed for ITV & RTE. He also shot the feature films "How About You" (written by Maeve Binchy), and Edna O'Brien's "Wild Decembers".

In 2011 Anthony shot the final 3 out to 6 episodes of Love/Hate as well as BMW's first ever commercial for the Irish market.

In 2009 & 2010 he shot some episodes of Silent Witness for the BBC, and is currently in post production on new episodes which will air in 2012. He is also working on the new BBC series of Upstairs Downstairs.

Anthony is also an accomplished photographer.
